My Summer Team
Summer baseball has always been a passion of mine. In high school, we played VFW ball, then Legion. Now, its ametuer or “town team” ball. It’s a lot of fun playing with guys of all ages. Some are really old, some are pretty young. It is also great to play with wooden bats and hear that “CRACK.”
My summer team is the Hutchinson Huskies. Our first game this year is May 3rd. Yes, that is before school is even out! We have lost some good players from last year due to all sorts of reasons, but the team should still be strong. We won our league last year and hope to do so again. Then, I hope we can show up in playoffs and win unlike last year.
There are many great things I’m looking forward to; time with friends, nice weather, baseball songs on the loudspeakers, even the smell of the grass. Good times…
